These Terms explain the rules for using Scrüd and the limits of the pilot’s dating, planning and safety features.

Before you join:
Scrüd helps adults meet and make plans. Every person decides whether to communicate or meet. Scrüd does not guarantee identity, conduct, compatibility, a response, a date, a reservation or personal safety.
1. Agreement to these Terms
These Terms are an agreement between you and Scrüd LLC. By creating or using a Scrüd account, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Notice. If you do not agree, do not use Scrüd.
2. Eligibility and your account
You must be at least 18, legally able to enter this agreement, and permitted to use Scrüd under applicable law. The Denver pilot may require an invitation or approval. Provide accurate information, represent yourself honestly, and use only your own account. Keep sign-in codes private and notify us if you suspect unauthorized access.
You must complete the required profile and 10-second introduction before going live. A profile photo or introduction is not an identity check. Any verification badge reflects only the specific check described by Scrüd and does not guarantee a member’s identity, background, intentions or conduct.
3. What Scrüd provides
Scrüd helps members share availability, discover people, express interest, form mutual matches, message and agree on date plans. Map availability represents a chosen meeting area, not verified physical presence. Current maps do not show a person’s live approach or precise GPS location. Matching and availability do not guarantee a response or meeting.
4. Respect, consent and prohibited conduct
Every person chooses whether to communicate, share information or meet. Respect a refusal and stop contact when asked.
You may not:
Harass, threaten, stalk, bully, exploit or discriminate against another person.
Impersonate someone, create a deceptive profile or misrepresent your age, identity or intentions.
Request money, payment credentials or financial information as part of a scam.
Share another person’s private, sexual or intimate content without permission.
Solicit sexual services, traffic or exploit any person, or use Scrüd for illegal activity.
Upload unlawful content, malware, stolen material or content you do not have the right to use.
Use Scrüd for spam, unauthorized commercial solicitation, scraping, surveillance or automated access.
Evade a block, suspension, safety restriction or other service control.
5. Your content
You keep ownership of content you submit. You give Scrüd a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, copy, process, display and transmit that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure and improve the features you use and to enforce these Terms. This licence ends when the content is deleted from active systems, except for limited retained records described in the Privacy Notice and copies other people saved outside Scrüd.
You are responsible for your content and must have the rights needed to submit it. Scrüd may remove content that violates these Terms or creates a safety, legal or security risk.
6. Date plans, reservations and payments
A date becomes an agreed plan in Scrüd when the other member accepts it. That does not reserve a restaurant, buy tickets or confirm outside availability. Members must complete and cancel reservations or purchases with the venue or provider. Scrüd is not responsible for outside charges, refunds, cancellations or venue services.
The founding pilot is currently free for invited members and does not automatically become a paid subscription. Food, drinks, tickets, transportation and venue charges are separate. Before any paid Scrüd membership begins, Scrüd will show the price, renewal and cancellation terms and require your affirmative choice.
7. Safety tools and meeting people
You decide whether, when and where to meet. Use good judgment, meet in a public place, arrange your own transportation, tell someone you trust about the plan, and do not send money or financial information to another member. Scrüd’s tools reduce some risks but cannot eliminate them.
Blocking, reports, check-ins and identity features are not professional monitoring, background checks or emergency services. Scrüd does not automatically contact police or emergency services. If you are in immediate danger in the United States, call 911. Email reminders, when enabled, may be delayed or fail and should not be your only safety plan.
8. Reports, no-shows and enforcement
You may block or report a member. Reports require review and do not by themselves prove misconduct. Scrüd may investigate, preserve relevant records, remove content, restrict availability, suspend or close accounts, and notify authorities when reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance or enforcement.
A no-show report may be submitted after the app’s grace period for an accepted or completed date. Scrüd’s intended rule restricts access after three confirmed non-test no-shows. A reported member may respond, and owner review is required. Scrüd may apply a different action when the evidence, safety risk or law warrants it.
You may appeal an account restriction by emailing help@scrudapp.com from your sign-in address with the subject “SCRÜD account appeal.”
9. Ending your account
You may stop using Scrüd at any time and request account deletion through Help & account requests. Clearing a chat, unsending a message or ending a match is different from deleting an account. Scrüd may suspend or close an account that violates these Terms, creates risk, or is no longer eligible for the pilot. The Privacy Notice explains deletion and limited retention.
10. Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scrüd and the pilot are provided “as is” and “as available.” Scrüd LLC disclaims implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and noninfringement. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service, successful matches, member accuracy, compatibility, reservations, attendance, conduct or safety. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot legally be excluded.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Scrüd LLC and its owners, officers, employees and contractors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, loss of profits or data, or another member’s conduct. Scrüd LLC’s total liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of $100 or the amount you paid Scrüd during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where prohibited by law or to liability that cannot legally be limited.
12. Governing law and disputes
Colorado law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, contact us and give both sides 30 days to try to resolve it informally. Claims that are not resolved may be brought in a state or federal court with jurisdiction in Denver, Colorado, except that either party may use an eligible small-claims court. These Terms do not require arbitration and do not waive participation in a class action.
13. Changes and general terms
We may update these Terms as the service changes. We will provide notice of material changes and request renewed agreement when required. If part of these Terms is unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your account or these Terms without our permission. These Terms and the Privacy Notice form the agreement about the Scrüd service.
