Acceptable Use Policy

1. Age and eligibility

You must be at least 18 and legally permitted to use Scrüd. Minors may not create or use an account, even with parental permission. Do not create an account for a minor, misrepresent your age, submit false verification information or bypass age restrictions. Profiles and introductions must honestly depict the adult account holder. A profile selfie alone does not earn an identity-verification badge or establish that someone is safe to meet.

2. Prohibited conduct

These rules apply to profiles, photos, videos, messages, invitations, After Hours entries, and conduct connected with your use of Scrüd, including meetings arranged through it. You must not engage in, attempt, facilitate, promote or help another person carry out prohibited conduct.

Consent and personal boundaries

Every person chooses whether to communicate, share information or meet. Consent must be freely given, informed, specific and ongoing, and may be withdrawn at any time. A match, date invitation, gift, payment or previous relationship is not consent to sexual activity or further contact. Respect a refusal, stop contact when asked, and do not evade a block.

Human trafficking and exploitation

Human trafficking, including sexual exploitation, sex trafficking, forced labor, involuntary servitude and exploitation through force, fraud or coercion, is strictly prohibited. You must not use Scrüd to recruit, solicit, advertise, transport, arrange, facilitate or knowingly benefit from trafficking or exploitation of any person.

Abuse and aiding or encouraging abuse

You must not commit, attempt, aid, abet, encourage, promote, arrange or facilitate abuse or exploitation of another person. This includes sexual abuse or assault, domestic or dating violence, coercive control, threats, intimidation, blackmail, sextortion, stalking, and physical or psychological abuse. You must not use money, gifts, private information, intimate images or threats of exposure to pressure another person.

Children and sexual exploitation

Scrüd is for adults 18 or older. Accounts operated by or on behalf of minors, sexual contact or solicitation involving minors, grooming, and child sexual abuse or exploitation are prohibited. Do not upload, request, create, possess through the service, distribute, link to or promote child sexual abuse material, including manipulated or synthetic material depicting child sexual abuse. Suspected child exploitation may result in immediate restrictions, preservation of relevant records and reports to the appropriate authorities as required by law.

Sexual services and prohibited content

Do not offer, request, advertise, broker or arrange prostitution, escort services, commercial sexual services, or sexual activity in exchange for money, gifts or other compensation. Sexually explicit profile content is prohibited, including explicit profile photos, video introductions, descriptions and links. Do not distribute pornography or explicit sexual content through Scrüd. Nonconsensual intimate imagery, secretly recorded intimate content, sexual deepfakes, threats to distribute such material and links to it are prohibited.

Illegal acts and other prohibited conduct

Do not use Scrüd to commit, organize, encourage or facilitate any illegal act, transaction, product or service. The following are prohibited even when a specific example is not separately named elsewhere in this policy.

• Harassment, bullying, hate speech, threats or promotion of violence, or attacks on people based on protected characteristics.
• Impersonation, deceptive profiles, misrepresenting age or identity, forged verification documents, or attempts to bypass age or identity checks. Your profile photo and introduction must honestly depict you.
• Romance scams, phishing, fraud, money laundering, stolen payment details, or deceptive requests for money, gifts, investments or financial information.
• Publishing another person's private address, contact details, account information, identity documents, precise location or other personal information without permission or another lawful basis. Do not track or surveil someone using Scrüd.
• Uploading unlawful or stolen material, malware, or content that infringes another person's rights; compromising accounts or accessing information without authorization.
• Spam, unauthorized advertising, commercial solicitation, scraping, harvesting member information or unauthorized automated access.
• Evading an account restriction, manipulating reports, knowingly making false reports, or retaliating against a person who reports a concern or declines contact.

3. Reporting and enforcement

Use the in-app block and report tools or email help@scrudapp.com to report suspected trafficking, exploitation, abuse, an underage account, harassment, fraud or other violations. Include the profile identifier or name, approximate time and a description if you can do so safely. Do not download or forward illegal sexual imagery, send identity documents, or investigate or confront the person yourself. Reporting does not notify emergency services; call 911 in a U.S. emergency.

Reports require review and do not by themselves prove misconduct. Scrüd may investigate, preserve relevant records, remove content, restrict features, suspend or close accounts, and notify authorities when reasonably necessary for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance or enforcement. Serious suspected violations may lead to immediate protective restrictions while a review is pending. We may cooperate with lawful investigations and make reports required by law. We do not promise continuous monitoring or an immediate response. Enforcement decisions depend on the available evidence, seriousness of the conduct and applicable law.
